In 1998, Mukul Govande, an experienced engineering professional, embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by offering PLC and CNC programming services to industrial clients. His deep technical knowledge and commitment to precision quickly earned him a reputation for delivering reliable and efficient automation solutions.
As industries began to embrace automation more widely, this modest venture naturally expanded into a comprehensive System Integration business, addressing diverse needs such as process optimisation, machine interfacing, and industrial control.
Through years of hands-on experience and collaboration with multiple sectors, Mukul developed a keen insight into the limitations of standard automation systems and identified a significant opportunity in Special Purpose Control Systems — custom-built solutions designed to meet specific industrial challenges.
Recognising this emerging potential, he established Marg Control Technologies (Marg) in 2007 as a dedicated technology solutions company focused on innovation, precision, and reliability.

Atul Govande brings over 35 years of experience in automation and motion control, beginning his career in the late 1980s and moving to the United States in the late 1990s to pursue advanced opportunities in the motion industry. He specializes in designing and developing PC-based software for automation and electro-mechanical motion control, with more than 25 years of leadership in managing and architecting automation software integrated with hardware.

Atul’s technical expertise spans both hardware and software, supported by a strong foundation in electronics and extensive hands-on experience throughout the full software development lifecycle.
